VERMONT JOINS NEW YORK

WE’RE GOING TO NY GEO 2023

New York Geothermal Energy Organization, or NY GEO, is a leader in geothermal and other thermal energy networks.

With a new state law mandating that all of the state’s utilities have at least one geothermal or other thermal energy network project in the works, our neighbor New York is a model and a huge resource for us in Vermont.

NY GEO’s website is a wealth of information and their annual conference is a must-do for people in the geothermal and ground source heat pump trades.

Start with Who We Are, and make sure to watch the 2 minute video that has a great animation showing how geothermal works for a single home.

With so much attention on geothermal and other kinds of thermal energy networks, NY GEO is also a great place for local leaders, elected officials, regulators, housing and environmental nonprofits, and clean energy advocates to learn how to bring thermal networks to more communities.

This year, VCGA became a member and will attend the annual conference. We hear April is lovely in Albany…
